Johan Fourie

Johan Fourie ventured into economics by accident. Having planned to study journalism after a degree in business, he soon realised the power of economic ideas to change people’s minds, and lives. After completing his Masters in Economics, he joined the Department of Economics at Stellenbosch University in 2006 where he is currently a lecturer.

Hassan Essop

Hassan Essop completed a Masters in Economics at Stellenbosch University before entering the fast-paced world of economic consultancy at Genesis Analytics in Sandton. He then moved to Provincial Government in the Western Cape before joining the Department of Economics at Stellenbosch University where he is currently lectures.

Willem Fourie

Willem Fourie dares to probe questions of ultimate meaning. He finished his PhD in Systematic Theology at the University of Stellenbosch in 2008. He is currently a full-time minister of religion in Port Elizabeth and a part-time researcher at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University’s Unit for Professional Ethics and at the University of Stellenbosch’s Beyers Naudé Centre for Public Theology.

Coetzee du Toit

Coetzee du Toit studied accounting at Stellenbosch University before entering the job market with an Honours in Accounting from UNISA. After four years as an accountant, he is on now on extended sabbatical to complete his Board exams.
